After making the patient comfortable, the patient's skin is deeply cleansed using an appropriate skin cleanser and the Clarisonic MD™ cleansing brush. Protective coverings are placed over the patients eyes, and conductive gel is applied to the treatment area. A series of combined laser and radio frequency pulses are applied to the skin until reduction in wrinkle appearance is visualized. The pulses are often described as a warm snap to the skin, and most patients find the treatment very comfortable. Upon completion, the gel is removed, and the skin may be cooled to enhance patient comfort while reducing any residual redness. The final step is the application of sunscreen.
