Frequently asked VelaShape ™ questions

How much improvement can I expect?
All patients in the FDA studies demonstrated improvement in cellulite appearance as well as reduction in thigh circumference with an average reduction of nearly 2 centimeters in thigh circumference.

What's a VelaShape™ treatment like?
Dr. Greenberg or your aesthetician will pass the VelaShape™ hand piece which has suction,  warmth, and radio frequency, that will  penetrate to the fat layer in your skin. Since this is a medical treatment for cellulite, and far beyond the ineffective spa-type procedures, there is typically some level of minor discomfort over the area with the cellulite. This may be repeated a number of times. You will feel a strong massaging action from the VelaShape™ device.

How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments varies for each individual, but typically a series of 4, performed once a week for 4 weeks, offers measurable as well as visual improvement. Each treatment generally takes only 30 to 45 minutes. Note - With the new smaller treatment hand piece, you're able to reduce the number of sessions needed to get great results. Now, too, smaller areas around the knees, the bra line or arms can benefit from VelaShape™.

How is VelaShape™ different from other cellulite machines?
